Update Nov. 22, 2013 BRGY Gutosan, Calubian, Leyte Island Philippines~~~~~~
AID arrived. 2kls (4.40 lbs.) of Rice and 2 Cans of Sardines per roof. The villagers can't catch fish from their bay, because the water has been contaminated by dead bodies from other villages, floating in the water. Power is to be restored sometime next year. It takes my daughter-in- law 1 hour travel time to get cell phone signal and the signal is poor. It's been difficult to upload pictures so I don't have any new ones. ~~

Typhoon Hayian (Yolanda) has badly damaged the community where my daughter- in-law lives. I have set up a relief fund on my website to help the Gutosan, Calubian community on Leyte Island in the Philippines. Angie Robertson will be the one to administer the fund. She is an elected official in her community and will be able to target the town's needs. Please visit my website to learn more. http://www.artbybarstudio.com
