I just finished this commissioned painting of a Virginia homestead. The homestead was located in Ballamy Manor, Virginia Beach Virginia. I had to work from an old photograph that was faded to sepia tones. After consulting with a great aunt, I was able to get information on the color of the house and shutters. The rest of the colors were from my own memories of living on a farm in Ohio. SOLD

This is the photograph that I had to work from to creat the 18" x 24" painting shown above.

Bald Eagle

This painting was created in the fall of 2008. The bald eagle was painted in acrylics on watercolor canvas. Painting the feathers was a challenge, but I think they turned out well. The painting has since sold, but prints will be available this spring. SOLD
